Lowana is a Mununjalia woman with a diverse background in health. She is a policy officer
with the Australian Physiotherapy Association in Melbourne. Lowana is holds a Masters of
Physiotherapy and a Bachelor of Exercise Science and is studying a Masters of Health at
James Cook University. She has worked as a physiotherapist in Melbourne, London, Sydney
and Coimbatore (India).
Lowana has a passion for sports and participated for Queensland at the National Indigenous
Cricket Championship, Alice Springs and at the National Indigenous Tertiary Student Games
for the University of Sydney.
She was a physiotherapist for the Queensland male and female teams at the National
Indigenous Cricket Championship, Alice Springs and is well known as a commentator for
Women’s Australian Rules Football (WARF) radio station.
